OUR STORY
Grace Giving is a Christian humanitarian non-profit organization changing lives and providing opportunities to poverty stricken children and adults in Africa. GGI currently assists over 700 children, adults, and families through education, microloans, humanitarian gifts, medical assistance, and sharing of Christ's love.
GGI's early beginnings date back to 2004 with a $200 a month commitment to support Pastor Robert Sityo in Uganda and his vision of starting a Christian primary school in the village of Bukeeka in eastern Uganda. At the time, Bukeeka was heavily entrenched in witchcraft, Islam, and a destructive culture with little opportunity for the people to succeed. From $200 a month and a simple vision, we are proud of the success and change that has touched thousands of lives. Today, Fountain of Hope Primary school has over 600 students, another 12 students are sponsored and continuing their education at a nearby high school, Bukeeka's addiction to witchcraft has diminished as witch doctors have left or given up on their practices. Four Christian churches have been planted and are growing. Microloan programs offer financial resources to adults beginning their own businesses. Medical care is offered to those in need and the community has been gifted in many ways through humanitarian aid and visits from mission teams from the U.S.
In 2009, GGI begun similar work in Ethiopia and recently just opened our first primary school in the village of Burayu in a rented building. The township of Burayu has also blessed us with a free parcel of land to construct a new church and school.
As we look forward to 2011, we continue to offer hope to those less fortunate, changing lives forever, and providing opportunities to both children and adults. We thank you for taking the time to visit our website and encourage you to find out how you can change a life forever by joining GGI and getting involved!
